Penix Family Pictures

What a fun session we had with the Penix family! We started with the more formal, posed shots to get them out of the way so we could have some real fun! =) Their little boy was so cute! And we had great Fall colors that day, too.

Such a playful guy! He was full of fun poses and plenty of attitude! =)

More attitude! What a cutie! He just did this spontaneously, honest!

What better way to end the day than playing in leaves!

I love this shot! I think we had pretty well tuckered him out, but he was still a good sport.

Well, look at that! There was one more smile left in him!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey, everyone! Hope you are having a great Thanksgiving! Holly and Addie and I are visiting Hol's parents in Moore and we're just taking it easy for the most part. It's a welcome break from the day-in, day-out hustle and bustle of work and just daily living. Hol decided to run out with her Mom to check out some sales today... She's a braver soul than I! I get a headache shopping anytime between Thanksgiving and New Year's. Especially anywhere within a quarter-mile of a Wal-Mart or Sam's Club. =) It's crazy out there, so I'm very grateful today to be hanging out at the Heard's watching football and enjoying Air Soft gun battles. =)

Anyway, just wanted to wish you all the very best Thanksgiving ever. I hope you are all able to enjoy meaningful time with family and friends and have some time for naps and catching up on R&R, too!

Take care! And thanks for stopping by, as always!

Groeschel Family Pictures

The Groeschels are so sweet! We were honored to be asked again to take their family photos this year, along with a few new headshots for Craig to use as well. I have to say that our photos this year turned out much better than last year, which is always encouraging for us to see that we continue to improve and grow. Stagnation is always one of our biggest fears. We don't ever want to be one of those photographers who quit learning and just shoot the same old photos year after year. The fact that we continue to upgrade equipment to stay ahead of the pack in technology helps a lot, too.

Anyway, without further ado, here are a few of our favorites!

Heidi's Senior Pictures

Heidi's senior session downtown went just perfectly. We had a great time chatting as we wandered around and found cool spots for pictures. This time of the year, the trees and plants are changing so quickly that we have to constantly be adapting to photogenic locations and lighting. It's fun, though! Keeps us from getting complacent, for sure!

Here are a few of our favorites from Heidi's session:

The picture below is what she's currently using on her MySpace. By the way, all you seniors out there who want a cool MySpace picture, you can use our proofs on your MySpace or Facebook profiles if you like! We only ask that you leave our name on the proofs so people know who took them for you and where they can get super-cool senior pictures, too. =)

Man, I just love this wall! I won't be happy when they finish construction here and remove this plywood. They even left a really cool pile of bricks for us today. How cool is that?

I like people who think I'm funny, so Heidi is good people in my book. =) I had to fall into the lake with all my equipment and clothes on a few times before we finally got the perfect laugh!

Well, that's it for now. Thanks for stopping by! Will have more up soon since we've been so busy. I think we're booked through late March of next year, so if you're thinking about doing pictures with us, don't wait too long to call. And if you can't wait that long, let me know... I have a few photographers that I can refer you to who will take very good care of you and help you get senior pictures that you'll love.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ashlee's Senior Pictures

Fall has come and gone! It's not a very long season in Oklahoma, but this year we were blessed with some of the best Fall colors I've ever seen here. Reminded me of Autumn in New England, all the bright reds, yellows and orange-colored leaves decorating the trees.

These pictures really showcase the nice colors we had for a couple of weeks recently. All of beautiful trees are bare now and it's cold and wet outside. Ashlee times this session just perfectly! Here are some of our favorites from the day...

Another Altus Senior

We have been so blessed with friends and referrals from as far away as Altus, Oklahoma! Last year, we knew so many of the senior class that we actually drove down to attend their graduation. They had a huge class and we felt proud to see that we had taken the pictures for almost every valedictorian (I think 5 out of the 7... Holly and I differ on the number and it's been a year so we're a bit sketchy now. Remind us, Altus seniors! =).

Anyway, that's our new marketing idea for this year. Come let us take your pictures and we'll help improve your chances to be valedictorians! Catchy, right? =)

Here are a few of our favorites our most recent Altus senior: Wayne. Yet another really nice person from small-town Oklahoma. We've really enjoyed every single person we've met from Altus. Genuine, sincere, friendly and fun to be around. Makes for a really enjoyable time photographing such nice people.

Adams Family Portraits

It's been a few years since we last did the Adams Family's portraits, so this year's session was long overdue! We were excited to photograph them again as a family since we've really improved quite a bit in the last few years especially. It's funny, we look back at photos we took even just a year ago and it's easy for us to see how much better our pictures look now than they did back then. That's a really good thing and we sure hope to continue improving as we have been!

Here are a few of our favorites from the Adams' session. You can click on any of them to see larger versions, if you like.

Beautiful Evening Sky in Oklahoma

One thing Oklahoma has is beautiful sunsets and amazing skies almost every day. I grabbed our new little point and shoot Canon SD 800 and took this picture without any flash. The image stabilization of this little camera is really awesome for low-light pictures like this. Despite the slow shutter speed and my hand-holding the camera for this shot, there was no camera shake or blur in the picture.

Notice the oil well? It was pumping as I took the picture, but they pump so slow, it's hard to capture any motion blur.

Well, we have a bunch of proofs to crank out tonight, so I'd better get back to work. Thanks for stopping by and reading our blog!

Julie's Senior Pictures

We were really excited at how Julie's senior pictures turned out. She's beautiful and we had a really beautiful day and location for her outdoor session. Here are our favorites from the afternoon!

I think this first photo is probably my favorite. I love the soft lighting!

Beautiful fall colors in the background.

Yes, we have nice blue water in Oklahoma! Okay, it's actually the sky's reflection.

Morgan's Golf Pictures

We've spent more time on golf courses this summer than ever before in my life! And I have to admit I actually like it. I've never been a fan of the game, although with some recent very-well made movies about it ("The Greatest Game Ever Played," etc.) I actually have learned to appreciate some of the difficulty and nuances of it. Until I find a friend who wants to spend endless hours teaching me how to golf, I'll stick with the driving range so I don't have to try to find the balls I hit. =)

Morgan is a great golfer! You should see the Championship rings she was sporting at the end of the shoot. I think it was enough to safely qualify as bling. Here are a few of our favorites from the day.

I love the reflection of the water on the golf course.

I really love how the light is streaming through the trees.

Go Dragons!

Wright Family Pictures

I think the Wright kids smiled better than just about any other kids we've ever worked with. Kudos to their Mom & Dad for taking so many pictures at home and training them so well! =)

Here's one of our favorites from the day...
